Today, we started the day learnign about a healthy heart. We assisted students in finding pulse rates and blood pressure. Then we helped give CPR training. Enrollment was open, snacks and water were provided, and you learned how to save someone’s life. Not a bad way to spend the day. My group consisted of myself and a woman named Willow. She was starting her CNA training, and it was recommended to her to get CPR training there. She was a quick learner, and asked good questions- only half of which I could answer when we moved into talking about choking, because that was the first time I had taken that as well. Willow also had a daughter of her own, an adorable baby girl that didn’t look more than a few months old (half the girls in the room flocked to the baby when she first came in the room), so I could guess learning infant CPR wasn’t only for professional reasons. All in all, I had an enjoyable time teaching.
