Today when we woke up we got to listen to the birds chirping and the wild life of South Dakota. We left and went to the college to host the first day of our leadership camp. At the beginning we played Frisbee or soccer outside with the campers before we went inside. Towards the end we started to get more campers and we also started to see the campers open up to us, and become more comfortable. That was an awesome part of the day getting to see everyone blossom and to see their personalities. We learned Robert’ s Rules of Order and started to run a community meeting. After the camp was over and we packed up all of our things we went to the heritage museum. That place made me feel guilty about the American culture. I wanted to apologize for being an American. This gives me a greater respect for the Lakota people because after all of the American People have done to them they still accept us into their culture and accept us as one of their own while we are here.
