Our day started off with arriving at Little Wound. We entered the school to the most beautiful painting I have ever seen. So much talent on the reservation. Then Dr. Manson, Peggy, Lori, and I were taken to the nurses trailer to set up for sports physicals. Kids were coming it for their physicals without their papers and sent back out to call their parents for them, others their parent would come and fill them out, and other kids were just not there. We started at 10:00 and finished at approximately 11:00 or 11:30. We saw about 12 kids. On the way out I stopped and gave the security people by the door and in the security office all the remaining waster bottles and hackie sacks. They were having fun with the hackie sacks. Then with great sadness we loaded up our vehicles, gave hugs to Dr. Manson and Peggy who were off to home and then Madison for reasons I cannot say at this time.
Lori and I left for home as well with much talk and laughter. We arrived at the Gundersen parking ramp to pick up my car around 9:45. Hugged good bye and thanked her for the wonderful time. Going to miss her too. She was a blast but between her and Peggy, they could do a good job getting me in trouble. Haha Thank you everyone on the trip, to Global Partners, and especially to everyone on to Pine Ridge reservation for the honor of being invited and welcomed to you homeland. Like Lori and I discussed on the way home, it is an experience you cannot fully describe with words. It is felt deep within your heart.
