Today started out with special treats from Higher Ground, fruit smoothies, turtle latte, espresso, and muffins that were out if this world. We then headed to Pine Ridge Administration to complete the credentialing process. We were surprised to find out that no one there knew we were coming. Credentialing is always a hurdle to get through so flexibility is key. Our afternoon was spent at the beautiful new Justice Center doing law enforcement officer physicals. We completed 10 physicals in 4 hours. This is a picture of how we got the heights done in our make shift clinic. We were definitely challenged when our tallest officer came in as he measured 7 ft 2 inches. Lyn had to get on the chair to even get close to getting this measurement and it was a stretch for her. I was not even going to attempt that one!!! The officers were very appreciative that we came to Pine Ridge which saved them about 3-4 hours of driving time. Glad to have filled a need and kept the officers free to do their jobs. We stopped at Wounded Knee on our way back to the hotel and I had a great conversation with 2 young lads that were hanging out. Our conversation lead to football and what team they rooted for. Let’s just say after some discussion, they will continue to cheer for their favorite team the Broncos and will give my Packers the next nod as favorites. At least they will probably think of the nurse from Wisconsin that was crazy for the Pack!!
