Lisa, Alex, Carolyn and I headed out to Head Start in Pine Ridge. We had an excellent day. There were 32 children that showed up for their physicals and most were with parents or grandparents! We did not have an exam table so we use a low table with a nap mat on it. I sat in a small kid chair all day and Alex and Lisa kept the kids coming. The kids were amazing and only two cried a bit. Most were healthy so there was only one that I had to send to IHS for impetigo. I did notice there were several children with the “blue tongue” disease. When we went to eat supper there was another child with an advanced case involving his lips and face……must have been a sale on blue Gatorade! Parents seemed to appreciate the convenience of being seen so quickly. I enjoyed seeing so many kids and not having to face a computer! At the end of the day my legs were permanently bent in the small chair position. The whole group had supper together, Alex received a couple goofy pre-birthday presents!
