Today was the beginning of our long awaited trip to Pine Ridge. It all started this morning at about five a.m. when I woke up and got ready. Since then, time has gone by quickly and it was six a.m. when all the students arrived and loaded their bags into the car. Soon enough we started on the road for our ten hour drive to Pine Ridge. Most people would complain about sitting in a car for ten hours; however, I had some friends to keep me company we played Uno and cards, sang, told jokes, and of course had fun… eating and sleeping.
After our long ride, we got to the Badlands. In the Badlands, all I could see were many plains of high and low formations. It was expansive!!! As we continued to our destination, one of my friends saw a cow and screamed “look it’s a buffalo!” even though she misunderstood the difference between a buffalo and a cow. (learning experience!)
Now is the time to reflect on the day and off to bed. Thank you for reading and have a good night.
