Today was day 3 in Pine Ridge. Our day in Kyle started out with a team bonding activity, where we saw who could build the tallest tower out of spaghetti. My teams tower unfortunately fell within the final seconds. We then had a discussion on Agape and the 8 essentials of leadership. At the end of camp we played some of Nahmie’s impossible games. I thought that these activities allowed us to form bonds with the Lakota youth.
After camp we watched a rodeo. I thought this was really interesting because I had never been to one before. My favorite part of the day was going on the buffalo excursion. We got to see some buffalo up close as well as rams and antelope. We wrapped up the day by watching a beautiful sunset in the Badlands. I really enjoyed getting to know the Lakota students and my HSA classmates.
